Some advice from me would be to get out in nature and find things that are engaging and fun to focus on other than self-hate, harm, depression, or anxiety. I know this might seem small and not important, but it is!!! There are studies that prove that being in nature for at least 120 hours a week helps to relax and bring peace to the system. Even just sitting and noticing your 4 senses is very calming and healing.

I think one of the strongest pieces of advice I have for people dealing with anxiety is that you can control it. For me when I have anxiety things start to spiral out of control and my thoughts run ramped and it feels like I can't control my thoughts. The thing is you can. It's hard and tough but you can do it. you can control all of your emotions. It's Something that takes practice. It's also helpful to have someone you can rely on. Not too much though. Someone who is there for you. Someone who cares about you and wants to help. When I get anxiety I make up scenarios in my head and it's good to have someone to tell you that you are making stuff up and that you are just being irrational. Dealing with anxiety and controlling it is tough and it's different for everyone there's no one way to go about it but anyone can do it.

It's okay to let go sometimes. You do not have to carry all that weight. You will only get so far by using sheer force and will. Listen to your body, it knows you the best.

Communication has been the best thing for me thus far.

I have been through way more than anyone should ever experience from sexual assault & abuse to self-harm. The best thing you could do for yourself is asking for help and no matter how terrifying it is, it is 100% worth it and when you get out of a negative situation you will most likely be happier.

My advice is not to give up, I know that people will keep saying "it'll get better" when they don't know how much you are going through. Personally, I have depression and anxiety, it is hard for me to hear people tell me how perfect I am because, in reality, I'm really not. I not truly the happy friend, but I like to pretend I am. I've made many mistakes and lost a lot of people because of it. I struggle to keep my head up, but I always remember how many people are going through the same thing. You can't look at someone and assume their life is perfect. Keep going, it does get better no matter how long it takes, life goes on.
